Turkey Day Project

Little C is on the skate board band wagon right now. He has some spare parts from an old board and wanted to create one of his own design. So here we go. We used a piece of 3/4 plywood. It is 26 inches long by 10 inches wide so it is really stiff as far as skate boards go. The shape of from a 40 plus inch "long board" by is in a short board format.

To strengthen and water proof the piece of wood I got the idea to coat it with polyester fiber glass resin. This is our first try at building a skate board so we will see what we learn as junior works it over.

WAR

I just finished reading War by Sebastian Junger. He has a movie out as well called Restrepo.

There is a living MOH story that comes from the time covered in the book. It is captured in this video - Sal Giunta Story (Don't watch it if you can't handle some swearing.)

This is some powerful stuff. We enjoy safety and freedom at a very heavy price being born by these young men.
