I've Been Sick

February 28th I finally got sick. Everyone around me has or had the crud. A co-worker even had pneumonia. It started in the evening and I missed work Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday. On Saturday the 7th I ended up at Urgent Care with an ear infection on the left side. I missed Church the 1st and only went to the first third of Church on the eighth. I worked all last week, caught some naps both days last weekend and it looks like I have it beat. The worst part has been my ear is plugged so I feel like half of my head is under water. The first week was really lousy as my head felt like it would explode from the pressure. Enough of that.

I have been working on a new mail box. It is shaped like a traditional barn, made of steel (of course) and will be mounted on a 10 inch I-beam for the post. The flag will be an alpaca or goat head and the latch for the door will be a rooster. I'll post pix when it is complete. DMP

Love the mailbox pattern. Should look cool but will it last? Remember Grandpa Lovell and all his mailbox problems on a rural road. Sad you were sick but glad you are now doing fine.

Maybe you should check with the highway dept. On our highway, they came through some years ago and replaced everyone's posts with a break away type (that is wimpy) that will presumably save the life of the dufus that runs into it.
